ΒΙΟΓΡΑΦΙΚΟ. Long time ago, back in 1999 Woofer started as a music project of Kostantis Kampanis and Nikiforos Dimakopoulos. They joined their artistic ideas in early 1997 by recording a demo tape at Kostantis’ home studio. Antonis Livieratos who listened to that demo, decided to produce their first CD and in June of 1997 they recorded their material at his studio.
A year later, two songs were included in a CD compilation titled Pocket Ozonizer by Hitch-Hyke records which could be found in Ozon magazine. Later, in winter 1998 another song was included in Pop&Rock magazine’s CD compilation "Local Heroes II".
Woofer’s first full length release was the self-titled CD which was released by Hitch-Hyke records in April of 1999. The release was supported by Rock FM radio station in Athens and Radio Paratiritis in Thessaloniki.
Since summer 1999, Kostantis Kampanis’ continued his solo music project as Mr Woofer. During the next few years, he produced projects such as greek rock band DV8’s first full length work and pop singer Mary Dalakou’s full length album "Kokkines Bogies" which was also released by Hitch-Hyke records in winter 2002.
He also played cello as a session musician in studio recordings with greek artists Kristi Stasinopoulou, Andriana Babali, Nikos Portokaloglou, Antonis Livieratos, Mary Dalakou, Christos Alexopoulos and Rous. In March of 2004 another song was included in Rock&Roll (now Pop & Rock) magazine’s CD compilation.
After finishing his music studies in Greece (Cello Performance, Music Theory), Kostantis Kampanis went on studying at the University of York, UK (Music Technology). He has teached music technology at IEK DELTA and cello at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory.
During the last few years, Mr Woofer played at the legendary live club Kyttaro in Athens, appeared at the European Music Day and is currently working on new compositions.
